ECP Technician

Help Patients Through Their Treatment Journey
Tenpenny Integrative Medical Center is seeking a dependable and compassionate ECP Technician to join our patient-focused team.
The ECP Technician will provide External Counterpulsation treatments and monitor patients throughout each session. This position is ideal for someone with a medical background who is comfortable working independently, monitoring EKG readings, and building relationships with patients who return regularly for treatment.

Key Responsibilities
-
Prepare patients for ECP treatment sessions
-
Explain the treatment process and answer routine patient questions
-
Obtain and document vital signs
-
Apply EKG leads and treatment cuffs correctly
-
Monitor EKG readings throughout treatment
-
Observe patients for discomfort or changes in condition
-
Recognize concerning changes in cardiac rhythm and notify the provider
-
Maintain patient comfort and safety during each treatment
-
Document treatments accurately in the patient's medical record

Communicate patient concerns to the appropriate provider
-
Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
-
Inspect equipment and report concerns promptly
-
Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient treatment sessions

Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Qualifications
Required
-
Previous medical or healthcare experience
-
Experience reading or monitoring EKG tracings
-
Ability to recognize changes in a patient’s condition
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Dependable attendance and punctuality
-
Basic computer and electronic documentation skills
Medical backgrounds may include Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, LPN, RN, Cardiac Technician, Exercise Physiologist, or similar healthcare experience.
Preferred

Previous experience with ECP or EECP therapy

Cardiology or cardiac rehabilitation experience

Current CPR or BLS certification
Training on our ECP equipment and office procedures will be provided to the right candidate.
