Nichole Short, NP-C IBCLC

Nichole is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for holistic, integrative care, bringing over 14 years of experience in women’s health to Tenpenny Integrative Medical Center. She has a special focus on pediatric and lactation support while also providing general family healthcare for all ages. From well-child visits to breastfeeding consultations, Nichole is committed to offering personalized care that prioritizes the health and well-being of every family member.

Nichole’s expertise in lactation includes helping mothers and babies overcome feeding challenges. She provides comprehensive evaluations, observes feeding sessions, measures pre- and post-feed weights, and develops customized treatment plans. If needed, she coordinates blood work to identify underlying issues affecting lactation. Her goal is to empower parents with informed decisions that support their children’s growth and wellness.

Nichole’s extensive academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cleveland State University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Purdue Global University. Since 2015, she has been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Her professional experience spans labor and delivery, postpartum care, and pediatric health.

Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Nichole is deeply invested in her community’s health. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 24 years and their three children. Whether cheering at her kids’ baseball, basketball, or volleyball games or supporting families at the clinic, Nichole embodies her commitment to helping others thrive.
