Jennifer Clapper, MD
Dr. Jennifer Clapper, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care at Tenpenny Integrative Medical Center. Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, she earned her undergraduate degree from John Carroll University and her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in 2000. She completed her residency at Akron City Hospital and spent 18 years practicing at Ravenna Primary Care in Portage County. In 2011, she also became board-certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.
Dr. Clapper’s path to integrative medicine was inspired by her own personal journey in seeking answers to stress and hormonal challenges. She believes that medicine is truly an art, not a one-size-fits-all approach, and that patients deserve to feel like active participants in their healthcare. She takes the time to listen carefully, ensuring each patient feels heard, understood, and involved in every decision.
Her clinical focus includes hormone balance for both men and women, gastrointestinal health, and lifestyle counseling to support long-term wellness. She blends traditional medical treatments with integrative therapies, emphasizing the importance of nutrition, nutraceutical supplementation, and individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Clapper finds the most rewarding part of her work is simply being present and listening to her patients. She believes that true healing begins when patients feel understood, and that meaningful care starts with hearing what matters most to each individual.
She currently sees patients ages 16 and older and is dedicated to building lasting relationships with those she serves. Patients often appreciate her warm, attentive nature and her ability to make them feel comfortable and confident in their care.
Dr. Clapper lives in Hudson with her husband and their three children. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and staying active in her children’s lives, especially attending football games. She looks forward to this chapter of her career where she can practice medicine with greater freedom, focusing on what matters most—her patients.
